Woodside Gan prides itself on our staff. Their love and care shines through.
We’re a close-knit, highly trained and experienced team.
We have a higher than average teacher-child ratio, meaning more individual focus by staff who really know your child’s needs.
Woodside Gan operates a key worker system, whereby each child is assigned one teacher who is responsible for their personal development. All members of staff get to know all the children very well and love and care for them, but it will be the key worker’s role to monitor, assess and plan for that child’s development in all areas of learning. The key person plans using the three ‘I’s.
1) Intent – what do I intend for this child to learn?
2) Implementation – how am I going to implement this?
3) Impact – how did this work and what can I do differently?
Using the three ‘I’s, the key worker is always thinking about what resources and what environments would best suit each of their key children. The key worker will also build up a strong relationship with the child’s parents. There are regular meetings held between the child’s key worker and parents, in addition to the two parents’ evenings Woodside Gan holds each year.
