Woodside Gan’s ethos is ‘Learning Through Love’. We believe that by loving and nurturing your child, their personalities, confidence and independence will flourish.
Our dedicated team of staff ensure that all children grow to be caring and confident, prepared for school and have a love of Jewish values.
Woodside Gan was formerly known as Yavneh Nursery.

Woodside Gan prides itself on our staff. Their love and care shines through.
We’re a close-knit, highly trained and experienced team.
We have a higher than average teacher-child ratio, meaning more individual focus by staff who really know your child’s needs.
Woodside Gan is proud of our outdoor space, with a sand-pit, climbing frames, mud kitchen and more.
A delicious healthy hot lunch is made fresh every day on site. We give children the opportunity to learn about food and develop good eating habits.
We enjoy a wide range of extra-curricular activities, including weekly Pilates, visits from our mobile library, and connecting with our local elderly community.
“My children absolutely thrived at Woodside Gan. All the staff showed such care and interest in each of them. They really knew my children as individuals. Being part of Woodside Gan was being part of a community and my children left with a love of their Jewish identity, real friendships and a confidence that made them ready for school.”
“Woodside Gan is a highly nurturing and warm environment, where the staff are caring, thoughtful and committed to the nursery and to the children. Particularly special is the opportunity for children to bond with people of all ages, including the elderly providing important life lessons.”
“Through child-directed play, the staff use every opportunity to shape my kids into caring and confident children. My children feel content, are independent in their self-care and display a love of Jewish traditions.”
“We love the genuine love and thought the staff have shown each of my 3 kids over the years. The staff are genuinely interested in all aspects of my kids’ growth and our family, even when they see them as older children in the community.”
